Hearing Impaired Community Care Stores |
|
Our ‘Speech and Hearing Impaired’ project
is another initiative that was even taken to a different
level with the opening of the first restaurant in the
world run by speech and hearing impaired staff in 1986
in Kuala Lumpur. Its success resulted in two more stores
operated by speech and hearing impaired staff opened in
1996, one in Sabah and the other in Sarawak, bringing
the total number of our community stores to three. This
project, which has made our Company proud for the past
18 years has presented this respectable group of people
with the right to lead a decent livelihood. Over and above
we have helped these people to help themselves. |
