DINERS can look forward to KFC and Pizza Hut outlets being part of the city landscape as both fast-food chains unveiled a flagship Multibrand Store in Wangsa Maju last week.
Although the spacious double restaurant offers a large seating capacity, its single most outstanding feature is its drive-through with convenient service counters located just outside for takeaway customers.
KFC Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd and QSR Brands Bhd group executive chairman Datuk Izhar Sulaiman said the company had plans for more drive-through outlets at other locations.
"This Multibrand Store embodies all that is excellent in KFC and Pizza Hut. We have invested about RM10.5mi1 in a contemporary, vibrant and avant-garde approach to the design, layout, colour, decor and presentation of both restaurants," said Izhar.
"They reflect the new fun and recognition culture that we are now driving at in our restaurants. I am sure that families, children, teens and adults alike will love it." Both restaurants share a common Funland play area for children for the benefit of parents.
Celebrating the launch of the restaurant were 150 children from Rumah Sayangan, Rumah Bakti, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Hulu Langat and Pusat Dalam Komuniti Selayang.
After a fun-filled morning of games, face-painting sessions, contests and balloon sculpting, the children were treated to a hearty meal of pizza and fried chicken. |
